Burglary

ASU Police were called early Friday morning (October 2) to the New River Light & Power offices located on Winkler's Creek Road in Boone to investigate a Burglary Breaking & Entering. Unknown suspect(s) broke into the building sometime between midnight and 4:00 a.m., by breaking out a window and stole an unknown amount of money from the night deposit box. The suspect(s) also attempted to open the safe with an acetylene torch that was stolen earlier that night from Miller's Auto Repair Shop on Daniel Boone Drive, but the attempt at opening the safe was unsuccessful.
ASU Police is investigating the New River Light & Power break-in, and the Boone Police are investigating the break-in of Miller's Auto Repair Shop.
